Learning Outcomes
Αim of this course is for its participants to gain further knowledge about the characteristics and functions of educational policy and the content and management of educational reforms, to better understand the role and function of International Organizations, the characteristics and function of educational leadership and its importance for education. Approaching important facts of Greek educational policy can contribute to the acquisition of better analysis and critical approach skills and better policy management for education.

Course Content (Syllabus)
-Introduction to the subject -Distribution of tasks -Conceptual delimitations - Factors that determine the management of educational policy -Educational Policy and School Leadership -The role of international organizations in educational policy -National education system and educational reform 1913-1934 -Dictatorship and educational policy: The educational policy of the Metaxa dictatorship and its effects -After civil war education policy and its implications -The post-dictatorship educational reforms (1974) and the issue of policy transfer by international organizations - Curricula and ideology, school textbooks and educational policy - Formal and non-formal education, from the international to the national context -Migrants, refugees and educational policy -Production of educational policy by teachers - Case Studies, Job Presentations.
