Structure and composition of the Earth’s interior. Distribution of igneous rocks. Magma composition and physical properties. Magma genesis and geotectonics. Use of major, trace and rare earth elements in petrogenesis. Isotope geochemistry. Origin and evolution of igneous rocks. basaltic magma-granitic magma-partial melting. Phase equilibriums. Phase diagrams.
