Learning Outcomes
On the completion of this module students will :
1. have understood the main features, principles and rules of the law of the Orthodox Church of Greece.
2. have extensively examined the central and peripheral organization of the Church of Greece.
3. have understood the special legal treatment of the clergymen and monks. They have also examined the substantive and procedural ecclesiastical penal law.
4. be able to write an essay about a topic discussed in class, with the approval of the course director.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Advanced courses on the law of the Orthodox Church of Greece. Central and Peripheral organization of the Church of Greece. Ecclesiastical property. The special legal treatment of the Clergymen and the Monks. The Penal Law of the Church.
