Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester the students will be able to: 1. understand the narrative techniques/choices a writer must follow in the process of the adaptation. 2. know and practice the techniques needed according to the initial text of adaptation: novel, theatrical play e.t.c 3. further comprehend the basic screenwriting elements.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course is examined the distinctiveness of the screenplay that is based on a preexisting text. There are topics about the invention of the story, the structure, the characters, e.t.c - all the topics are examined through theory and practice. 1. Introduction - the basic methods of Adaptation 2. The 7 basic transformational acts in dramaturgy 3. Novel 4. Theatrical play 5. Biography/ adapting real stories.
