Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. posess a basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in farm animal nutrition.
2. evaluate the current literature concerning the understanding of the farm animal physiology of nutrition and applied animal nutrition mechanisms.
3. recognize the goals based on the nutrient requirements of farm animals and their satisfaction with the avalaible feedstuffs.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Principles in farm animal nutrition. The sense of energy, nutrients and minerals in farm animal nutrition (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, horses etc.). Nutrient requirements of farm animals for maintenance, weight gain and animal products.
