Course Content (Syllabus)
The studio aim to engage students with the process of architectural design by discussing and highlighting issues related to materiality and construction methods and techniques. Also to develop their ability to set up and evolve of key ideas and issues that guide the design process in architecture. Issues such as spatial organization, program, form, structure. The educational approach of the studio is structured in such a way as to be coherent to the students, that the construction it is not an independent design issue but an integral aspect of architectural design. The studio intentions are also to practice students in research, in analytical thinking, in synthetic approach, in design and evolving of architectural concept, and development of small complexity habitation program. To practice also in representational techniques, media and design tools, in making of physical models. Students will be involved in design process, materiality and construction by developing small-scale habitation projects.
