Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students will: -enter orders and execute trades for himself or on behalf of a third person -calculate the returns and risks of leveraged transactions such as margin trading, short selling and securities lending -calculate margin requirements or refunds on leveraged transactions -obtain a clear picture of how transaction prices are formed in electronic order markets

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course aims to provide a theoretical and practical background corresponding to the requirements of “Certification of Brokerage Executives” (introductory level) assessed by the Greek Stock Exchange Committee The course examines the rules and regulations pertaining to the Greek capital market, and especially: the actors (listed companies, brokers, investors, clearing houses) the products and services (security forms, margin trading, short selling, securities lending) the procedures (order reception, transmission, importation, execution, execution, clearing, settlement) the price formation algorithms in the order driven market
