Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
The course provides an overview of representational and decorative practices in the geographically defined hellenic region from prehistory to the Byzantine era, with reference also to Islamic art.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be in a position to discuss issues of image-making, composition and style, as well as the historical development of practices we now call artistic in the area of today's Greek state from prehistoric times to the 18th century.
