Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of this theoretical course is to train students in a thematic area of ​​French or French-speaking literature, to familiarize them with the basic principles of research (bibliographic, archival, etc.) and to practice them in a limited area of ​​literature writing. This course aims to present to students a view / era / stream of French or French-speaking literature and / or culture, depending on the subject and the research interests of the lecturer undertaking the course (eg. the movement of modernism, existentialism, 20th-century pioneers: dadaïsm and surrealism, post-colonial literature, Maghreb writers, the "Nouvelle Vague", etc.). The students are particularly familiar with reading and analyzing a corpus of texts, examining the development of literary discourse along with various social / political / artistic developments and events in a European and / or international context, familiarizing themselves with reading essays and critics.
