Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the 13 teaching units of the course: - students will be able to be scientifically introduced to the basic concepts of Canon Law. - In addition, they will be able to analyze the basic concepts of Canon Law and compare them with each other, by time period, according to the historical, political and ecclesiastical background of each era that is scientifically analyzed and presented by the teacher. - They will also be able to know the way of interpretation and application of the Holy Canons in the life of the Church and any timeless differences regarding their power and application in ecclesiastical practice, ie in the liturgical and pastoral life of the Church, with the main focus on how and how much these rules affect the life of every member of the Orthodox Church.

The validity and application of the Holy Canons . Interpretation of Holy Canons . Remove the Holy Canons . The relationship of clergy and laity. Clergy - Monks . The organs of ecclesiastical authority ( Ecumenical Councils - Local or District Councils ) . The provincial episcopal polity . The teaching , the priestly and administrative authority in the Orthodox Church . The ecclesiastical penal law. The church property . Family law (marriage - divorce ) .
