Upon successful completion of this course, students can: - describe the historical formation and evolution of the services of the holy sacraments. - ana;yze the liturgical terms included in the services of the holy sacraments. - deepen their understanding of the theological and spiritual meaning of the holy sacraments. - connect the theology of the holy sacraments with the theology and spirituality of the Church in general.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this cource we refer to the theological meaning of the sacraments. We also study their christological, pneumatological and ecclesiological character. And we explicate the symbolism in the divine liturgy. 1. The holy sacraments and their deeper meaning. 2. Relationship between holy sacraments and spiritual life. 3. Christological character of the holy sacraments. 4. Pneumatological character of the holy sacraments. 5. Ecclesiological character of the holy sacraments. 6. The sacraments of Christian initiation in general. 7. The holy Baptism 8. The holy Chrismation 9. The Eucharist 10. The holy Matrimony 11. The holy Unction. 12. Symbols and reality in the divine liturgy. 13. Worldly dimension in the theology of the holy sacraments.
