General Prerequisites
Students must have successfully passed Hebrew I.
Learning Outcomes
Students learn advanced Hebrew vocabulary, grammatical and syntactical structures, as well as basic translational principles concerning the transfer of biblical meanings into Greek. That is a presupposition for interpreting Septuagint texts in comparison to the Hebrew Bible.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Hebrew grammar, syntax, stylistics and semantics, identification of important technical terms, translation of complex texts, comparison to Septuagint and Modern Greek as well as to Ivrit.
