The aim of this module is to expand the knowledge of the students in Ophthalmology
Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of this module, students will be able to: - Diagnose at least three condition of acute and three of chronic loss of vision - Understand the four main causes of red eye - Advise patients about the prevention of the three main injuries of the anterior segment (trauma, actinic and chemical burns)

The key points of knowledge and skills in Ophthalmology areQ - Basic examination methods in ophthalmology - Causes of acute and chronic loss of vision - Cataract, surgical management - Glaucoma, recent trends in management - Ocular surface disease and red eye - Common diseases of retina and vitreous - Neuro-ophthalmology - Prevention of ocular injuries - Practical training
