The above subjects are regarded as prerequisites for the understanding of the course Pharmacology II. There are no prerquisites by law.
Learning Outcomes
After completing the course students will be able to apply pharmacology clinically, as they will have acquired a sound knowledge of indications and contraindications, routes of drug administration, proper drug combinations and the risk/benefit ratio of pharmacotherapy for different groups of patients. This knowledge combined with the experience that the students will gain during their clinical practice will provide them with the skills necessary for patient-tailored therapy.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Pharmacological treatment of hypertension, heart stroke, gynecological disorders, diabetes mellitus, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma and infections. Drugs in pain and anesthesia. Pharmacological treatment for special patient populations. Drug interactions. Strategic planning of drug treatment. Treatment of poisoning.

Description
Written and/or oral exams at the end of the semester (February) and during the examination period of September. Alternatively, each student may write up essays on aspects of clinical pharmacology, from a list of subjects provided by the academic staff.
