Learning Outcomes
Βy courses completion the student is able to:
know the way the central concepts of today's scientific ethics have shaped,
come into contact with the basic challenges modern pastoral theology and practice are facing,
understand the type of answers pastoral theology has to offer to the demands of the era,
perceive the concerns and moral dilemmas that develop in individual areas of contemporary life (internet's ethics and pastoral theology, neuroethics, roboethics etc.)
Course Content (Syllabus)
In lesson courses it is considered the perceptions of modern scientific ethics formation, from the perspective of Christian Pastoral Theology. Thus issues such as scientific research limits, medical ethics, neuroethics, ecological ethics, etc., are dealt with. The Christian orthodox theological views in partial issues of modern technology applications, such as the internet's pastoral theology and ethics, the possibility of creation of "post-humans" etc., are also discussed.
