Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course students are able to: - To analyze the positions of the Orthodox Church for uninterrupted worship - To research the influence of the Psalms on the liturgical tradition of the Orthodox Church. - To record the evolution of the Service of the Twelve Psalms in the Service of the Mesoria (Mid-Hours)

Course Content (Syllabus)
Unceasing Prayer and the Psalter This specific area of study aims to: a) Inform undergraduate students in the liturgical dimensions of unceasing prayer and the liturgical structure and use of the Psalter. b) Study the Service of the Twelve Psalms in the ascetic texts and the manuscript tradition. c) Research the evolution of the Service of the Twelve Psalms in the Service of the Mesoria (Mid-Hours). d) Examine the liturgical use of the Mesoria (Mid-Hours). e) All this liturgical richness can assist the undergraduate students in their academic training and their pastoral activity in the Church.
