Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course, the students are able to: -Understand basic principles of mechancis of materials. -Calculate stressesm strains and deforamtions in axially loaded members, bending and torsion in elastic and elastoplastic materials. -Analyze statically indetrminate structures of axially loaded members and members in torsion. -Know how to trasnform stresses and strains in plane stress, plane strain and in three Dimensions. -Know the basic yield/failure criteria for ductile and brittle materials.
General Competences
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Work autonomously
  • Advance free, creative and causative thinking
