Learning Outcomes
After the succesful completion of the course, students are expected to: • understand the basic categories of earthworks in road construction • understand the categories of drainage systems in road construction • familiar with methodology of the evaluation of road pavement design • learn to analyze, judge and compose different design criteria of road pavement design • practice in planning of cross section of road design and culverts

Course Content (Syllabus)
Earthwork constructions. Physical and mechanical properties of soil. Erthwork equipment. Compaction. Embankments. Conformation of cuts. Protection and stabilization of slopes. Improvement and reinforcement of weak soils. Drainage of road works. Small concrete structures: discrimination, role, conformation of techniques. Pavements. Pavement types and operation. Pavement design methods.Construction of pavements.
