Learning Outcomes
At the end of the semester the students are expected to be able to carry out a litarary analysis on works of Italian, Greek and other authors, with the possible use of comparative methodology, focusing on their humouristic elements (irony, satire, witz).
Course Content (Syllabus)
The history of humour in European literature, from Petrarch to these days. The forms of literary humour (in letters, dialogues, short stories, novels), as twists of the narrative perspective. The function of the reader in the perception of the literary humour.
