Learning Outcomes
The aim of the module is to give students the adequate knowledge on the basic technique in exercises without apparatus, in hoop, in clubs and in ribbon. The use of rhythmic apparatus and music can be easily used in elementary and high school settings as well as in exercise for all in public and private settings. Through learning motor skills of rhythmic gymnastics, pedagogical and recreational climate is enhanced.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Theory Using ballet exercises for arms and feet. Music in rhythmic gymnastics. Analyzing the technique of hoop, clubs and ribbon. Constructing a program (competition choreography) using hoop or clubs or ribbon. Official competitions in Rhythmic Gymnastics according to the Code of Points. Practice 1st week: exercises improving flexibility, total body waves towards-backwards, acrobatic elements (rolls, different types of rolls, etc.) 2nd week: Rhythmic steps, valse step, polka step. Learning á la second balance, arabesque balance, on ballet bar. Pre-exercises for balances in the center. Revision of simple jumps and tours 3rd week: hoop: handles, swings, transmissions in different levels. Easy technical elements of the hoop. 4th week: Hoop: figures eight, rotations of the hoop in different levels. Rotations of the hoop on the floor and on different parts of the body. Grande jeté entrelace, cossack jump. 5th week: Hoop: different types of throws, different types of catches. Passing through the hoop with small jumps and leaps. Rolls on the body and on the floor. 6th week: Choreographies with music accompaniment. Clubs: handles, swings, transmissions, figures eight small- medium-large, small throws with one rotation of the club, rotations in different levels. All the above using one club and afterwards with two clubs. 7th week: Clubs: using different elements of body exercises in different levels. 8th week: using a pair of clubs. Mills. Choreography using the clubs. Games with the clubs. Code of point for clubs. 9th week: ribbon: handles, swings, transmissions, circles, snakes, spirals, figures eight vertical and horizontal, wrappings in different parts of the body. Combining ribbon and simple body elements. 10th week: ribbon: moving using elements of the ribbon. Transmissions simple and by echappé. Dancing elements and rhythmic steps with the ribbon. Simple throws of the ribbon. 11th week: ribbon: composing choreography with ribbon. Games using ribbons (one or more). Rule specific for ribbon. 12th week: acrobatic elements standing on the hands specific for rhythmic gymnastics. Revision of the elements of hoop and clubs. 13th week: composition of a choreography, demands and examples. How to construct the elements in the choreography.

Student Assessment
Description
Students are evaluated in theory and practice. In theory they are examined in the topics of the lectures and in practice students are evaluated by presenting chorographical compositions using the apparatus. The final degree is the sum of the evaluation in theory and in practice, divided by two. Excellent score is ten.
