Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to:
• Cultivate their visual awareness and visual memory through observation.
• Get involved with a variety of drawing experiments and methodologies that will lead them to different interpretations of the object such as, line, tone and colour.
• Build their confidence in handling different drawing tools, mediums and textures on various surfaces.
• Enrich their critical thinking and creative practice skills.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The content of this course is the so-called proportional and reference drawing and the expanded notion of drawing, where drawing of physical and non-physical templates is at the centre of the research. The course includes "visual communication" studies of representation in order to observe, capture and further develop applications of drawing elements such as the line, form, volume, space as well as various sketching processes and drawing techniques using a variety of drawing materials.
