Learning Outcomes
Students,through experiential learning, will reproduce "in praxis" (according to the spectrum of their potentialities) all the techniques of musical accompaniment in silent movies era (1896-1926). They will also acquire a sufficient cognitive background of: a) the history of cinema music, b) the then film history c) the basic terminology and techniques of creating and producing typical examples of silent era films. In parallel, the students will combine, compare and come to conclusions ιn relations to the philosophy and practice of silent era's and today's cinema music and film music accompaniment.
