Learning Outcomes
(A) to be aware of the biological adaptations caused by the muscular work during exposure to extreme environmental conditions (heat, cold, altitude, diving, etc.), (B) to understand how the body temperature is regulated, (C) to understand the factors making exercise in heat and cold safe; and (d) understand how athletic performance is maximized by neutralizing the thermal load of the environment.
