Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the history and evolution of modern culture through art, mainly painting and sculpture, in 19th and 20th century Europe. Emphasis is placed on the avant-garde art movements of the early 20th century and on the contemporary art which emerged after the second world war. There are special mentions to performing arts, during their parallel route to contemporary art.
