Course Content (Syllabus)
Τhis course, a prerequisite for students that wish to specialize in the major of Set and Costume Design, is of introductory character. It provides basic knowledge of set and costume design, with an emphasis on expressive media: drawing, colour, perspective and model-making. It also addresses the relationship of sets and costumes to dramaturgy and familiarizes the students with stage terminology, related to all functions of theatrical space.

Description
Familiarization with the basic working methods of the set and costume designer through a variety of individual projects that culminate in a complete design proposal for the sets and costumes of a specific play. The title of the play and the criteria to be taken under consideration are announced to the students in the beginning of the semester.
