Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:
-Analyze phrases and common expressions regarding personal information, shopping, entertainement etc.
-Communicate using basic language skills in various social situations, which require simple exchange of information on common topics
-Develop dialogue skills
Course Content (Syllabus)
This course focuses on the study of:
a. compound nouns - absolute and construct states,
b. past tense,
c. introduction to the future tense and
d. subordinate clauses.
Students are now able to read longer and more complex texts (short biographies, newspaper articles, travel brochures, etc.). By the end of the semester they may submit a short biography or engage in a brief oral presentation of a historical figure.
