Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course students are able to: -use with relative facility and research different topics in the canonical collections of hadith -enlist hadith collections and give examples of their differences and similarities with one another -use technology for their research needs as taught in the classroom -study the use of Islamic Tradition in the modern world and everyday life -distinguish the use of Islamic Tradition in different social milieu -connect the Islamic tradition with modern reformist thought movements and tendencies in Islam -develop a confident and mature voice on the challenges of using tradition in the modern world -use dialogue skills in a university and interfaith environment

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this level the students are introduced to the use of the "Tradition" in the modern world, some of the technologies that make the study of Sunna easier in our days, and the extend that the "Tradition" is alive and continues to develop in different Islamic milieus and according to different tendencies, defining fluid ideaas of orthodoxy, orthopraxy or their lack thereof
