Learning Outcomes
The main scope of the courses is: -the description and the understanding of the processes which are responsible for the earthquakes occurrence -the propagation of the seismic wave -the operation of the recording instruments - the research focussed on earthquake prediction and the interpretation made based on plate tectonics theory. I In order students to comprehend it, visits in the seismological station of Thessaloniki take place, instrumental measurements are made and also students solve theoretical tests in the classroom.
