Learning Outcomes
Upon succesfull completion of the course the students should be able to
write the electronic configuration of elements and place them within the periodic table
elucidate chemical properties of elements based on those of the surrounding ones in the periodic table
suggest pH values for electrolyte solutions
derive the geometry of small molecules based on the hybridization of their atoms

Acids, bases and salts
Oxidation and reduction
Chemical composition of the earth, distribution of elements, isotopes

Description of the properties of the elements in groups.
