Learning Outcomes
Theory 1. Differences between ideal and real gases. 2. The lows of thermodynamics and an introduction to the free energy concept of chemical and biological systems. 3. Chemical equilibrium and the influence of the temperature. Living systems and the free energy. 4. Solutions, colligative properties. 5. Electrolyte solutions and the electrochemical cells. 6. Acid-Base equilibria. 7. The lows of photochemistry. Labor Experiments using the following methods 1. Optical polosimetry 2. Electrical conductivity 3. pH measurement 4. Visible-UV spectroscopy, Lambert-Beer Law.

Properties of ideal and real gasses, liquids and solids, Chemical and Biological Thermodynamic, Solutions of non- and of electrolytes, Acid-Base equilibria, Electrochemistry and Oxidation-Reduction equilibria, Kinetics of chemical and biological reactions,Spectroscopy,Macromolecules.
