Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, the students will i) acquire knowledge on the concepts of structural and functional Genomics, proteomics, and polygenic heritability b)understand the current methods and sequencing machines for the study of genetic polymorphism and phenotype associations c) understand the continuation of life and its evolutionary mechanisms through genome comparisons iv) acquire knowledge of the genetic tools which are needed for conserving species diversity v) know how to implement genetic traceability analyses on food products

Course Content (Syllabus)
The analysis of Genomes. Modern Techniques of Genome Analysis and of Genetic Polymorphism. Main Genome sequencing programmes. Structural and Functional Genomics. The ExtraNuclear Genome. Conservation Genetics and Genomics.
