Learning Outcomes
Students to know the spiritual and cultural life of the Slavic world from the early period of its history and its Christianization to the organization of the first autocephalous Churches. To get in touch with the most important historical phenomena of the period that shaped the identity of the Slavs. Also to know the most important people who played a decisive role during this period and finally get in touch and get to know the relevant literature.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The students of the I Semester can learn different aspects of the early church literature and spiritual life of the Slavic people – starting from the period of their Christianization and up to the 15th century. The students get to know the ancient monuments of the Slavic written language, dating from this period, which are also the oldest expressions of their culture. At the same time, they are informed about specific issues relating to the history and development of the research of the Slavic world, and about basic literature.
