Learning Outcomes
1. To analyze any film identifying its basic technical and formal elements (mise-en-scène, photography, framing, editing, sound) 2.To understand the meaning of the narrative and observe in each film the distinction between story, plot and style. 3. To classify each film in a specific narrative model based on its characteristics. 4. To observe the evolution of the narrative modes and to identify discrepancies and variations.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course presents and analyzes the basic formal and narrative characteristics of films from the entire range of film production since the birth of the medium to the present day.
