Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the students will have acquired basic theoretical knowledge and practical experiences for effective teaching of Volleyball in primary and secondary education (learning the basic techniques and tactics of volleyball until the team composition 6:0).

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. Throwback. The development of volleyball in Greece and internationally. Basic characteristics and regulations of the game. The composition of the team. 2. Exercises and preparation games (oriented to developmental ages). 3. Basic positions-attitudes and movements with and without ball. Back and side rolling. 4. Passing with fingers. Passing games 1x1, 2x2 and 3x3. 5. The forearm pass. Games 1x1, 2x2, 3x3, and 4x4 with cuff and conjunction with passing. 6. The serve. The reception of the service. Games 2x2, 3x3 and 4x4. Combining serve the ball and forearm pass. Mini volleyball . 7. Team tactics in reception service. The «W». Play 6x6 system with group composition 6:0. 8. The attack. Types of attacks. The smash. Forms of coverage. Playing with team composition 6:0. 9. Block . Types of block. Single block. The steps of block. Playing with team composition 6:0. 10. The Defense . Defensive techniques (falls). Lateral falls. Game with team composition 6:0. 11. Defense with 6 front (central cover). Game with team composition 6:0. 12. The coverage of the attack (dubbing) 2:3 with the 6 forward. Game with team composition 6:0. 13. The overhead serve (tennis). Game with team composition 6:0.
