Course Content (Syllabus)
Purpose: Update for all modern data relating to obesity, which is a major issue in global health. Design and implementation of programs of obesity treatment through proper physical activity and dietary education to children, adolescents and adults. Teaching units: 1. Defining obesity - Epidemiological evidence 2. Reasons of obesity - Health Effects 3. Technical evaluation of obesity and body fat measurements 4. Benefits and health risks from weight loss 5. Strategy for coping obesity 6. Dietary factors and obesity 7. Dietary care and treatment of obesity 8. Aerobic training for obesity treatment 9. Resistance training for the treatment of obesity 10.
