Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course students will acquire all the theoretical knowledge and practical skills especially in Olympic Taekwondo competition so they can as coaches in clubs to prepare well-athletes of all racing categories in order to participate in competitions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
THEORIE LECTURES 1. Preparation of annual coaching programming in competition TKD: Macrocycles, Mesocycles. 2. Planning of technique, tactic and physical condition in every Macrocycle and Mesocycle in competition TKD. 3. Planning of Microcycles and adaptation of their training contents in accordance with their Mesocycle. 4. Planning of the training unit in competition TKD in accordance with its objective (improvement of aerobic or anaerobic endurance, etc). 5. Heart rate (HR) intensity of athletes in TKD sparring. 6. Effects of high-intensity interval training on athletes’ speed, anaerobic endurance and heart rate. 7. Psychological preparation of athletes before competition: mental training, ideal stimulation level, stress control, attention, self-concentration, memory, self-talk, coaching, and control of fluctuating conditions in sparring. 8. Nutritional support for TKD athletes. Optimal body weight for competition and maximization of performance. 9. Craniocerebral and frequent mild injuries in TKD athletes during sparring. Prevention. 10. Analysis of sparring on video. Qualitative and statistical analysis. PRACTICE Competition TKD 1. Improvement of technique and aerobic endurance in TKD: special training systems. 2. Improvement of rhythmical capacity and muscle coordination in TKD: combinations of special techniques. 3. Offensive techniques: combinations of composite techniques. 4. Counterattack techniques: combinations of direct and indirect counterattacks. 5. Lateral movement. 6. Modern methods for strengthening muscle groups of the lower extremities with specialized drills for TKD. 7. Sparring: practice of tactic, sparring with restrictions, freestyle sparring (with guidance, correcting mistakes). Stresstraining (sparring under demanding conditions). 8. Conditioning of anaerobic alactic capacity in TKD. 9. Conditioning of anaerobic lactic capacity in TKD. Traditional TKD Shadow sparring: 6th – 9th Poomsae learning.

Description
Theory Written examination on the theoretical material of the first half (10 questions, all answered with an analysis, description, etc). Practice 1. Demonstration of the combination of predetermined techniques (in Poomsae 6th to 12th). 2. Demonstration of combinations of techniques. Prerequisite for success in the examination is at least grade 5 for each item separately (theory and practice).
