Learning Outcomes
The main target of the course is for students to develop :
Their ability to effectively use the Italian language in order to communicate, through a deeper comprehension of the foreign language.
All basic linguistic macro-skills.
A more autonomous learning procedure.
A broader image of the Italian society and cultural reality.
In particular the course is aiming at the following language and communication targets : Comprehension of oral speech: understanding of simple messages in the Italian language regarding subjects such as work, studies, free time.
Comprehension of written speech: reading and understanding of particular pieces of information within simple texts and letters.
Production of oral speech - interaction: production of simple oral messages on various subjects, expression of opinion with the use of arguments. Discussion with one or more persons and comprehension of the main points of the discussion.
Production of written speech: production of plain texts and letters (describing experiences, facts, dreams, hopes, future plans)expression of opinion with the use of arguments.
Course Content (Syllabus)
He course offers the possibility for extensive practice of the Italian language, through the use of basic language structures and uses, with reference to the every day life, mainly within the first 3 units of the material designated for the current academic year (Italian music - contemporary music, birth of the opera, history of the Sanremo Festival - The Italians, reading and literature - The image of Italy abroad).
