Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be aware of the detailed functioning of sensory and speech as well as technical and interpretation of neurophysiological recordings, connecting the physiology of the nervous system by laboratory diagnosis of neuropathy.
Course Content (Syllabus)
An attempt to combine the nervous system physiology to the clinical diagnosis of various neurological disorders. The information obtained from sophisticated neuroimaging and specific diagnostic tests are studied and explain how clinical neurophysiologic techniques are used in the clinical assessment of diseases of the nervous system. In particular, it is discussed issues such as: Electroencephalography - Sleeping Electroencephalography, Neurophysiologic control of peripheral neural system -– Evoked potential – Functional monitoring – Brain mapping, Visual system, smell, Taste, Hearing, sleep and wakefulness- Memory – Learning– Speech and language
