Learning Outcomes
The course is intended to meet the following objectives: a) to indicate to students how to combine theory and practice, b) to familiarize students in reading and understanding judgments, c) το strengthen the ability of students to solve complex problems throughout the procedural law, d) to teach students the method of preparing pleadings, e) to assist students in the selection of their postgraduate studies in Greece or abroad, f) to prepare students for practice in their respective bar associations.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The teaching stuff selects each semester special issues of the whole matter of the Law of Civil Procedure and edits a working folder distributed to students free of charge on paper or electronicall. The folder includes all the critical per thematic jurisprudence and literature as well as a number of practical issues that require sufficient knowledge of Civil Procedural Law. Furthermore the folder covers topics that have not been taught in previous semesters. Sometimes, the folder aslo includes decisions of the European Court and of the European Court of Human Rights. Students are generally divided into two or three sections and are taught for four hours per week. The teaching method is oriented to the particular purpose of the course. Unlike previous semesters, the students are invited to participate actively in the learning process, as they are offered the following options: 1) preparation of a parer on one of the taught modules, 2) collective preparation for participation in a special seminar, which takes place during the end of the teaching period and just before the exam, 3) collective preparation to conduct a virtual trial, in which students participate as judges, or legal representatives of the parties. Participation in these activities is optional and not primed rated. The primary goal, however, remains the systematic comfrontation with jurisprudence as well as the understanding of the structure and reasoning of Court Rulings.

Description
The performance of students is assessed at examinations (written or oral) that take place at the end of each semester. Oral presentations and case-notes written by the students are also taken into consideration.
