Learning Outcomes
Cognitive: the cognitive goals of the course are the students to organize the fundamental knowledge of elementary Mathematics and to obtain new knowledge and get acquainted with new principles of Mathematical Analysis which are utilized in all branches of Computer Science.
Skills: students understand in depth basic notions of Mathematics which are necessary in many procedures, implementations and applications of computational and communications systems.
Course Content (Syllabus)
-- real functions of one real variable, limits, derivatives and applications (optimization problems, linear approximation, error bounds, applications to complexity)
-- integrals (definite and indefinite), trigonometric integrals and integrals of rational functions
