Cognitive: Understanding basic network security issues, encryption algorithms,
internet security, wireless network security.
Skills: Obtaining an overall ωιες of the network security area. Solve exercises based on
theory that has been taught. Implement laboratory exercises on network security.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to Cryptography, Symmetric Cryptographic Algorithms, Asymmetric Crypto-graphic Algorithms, Authentication, Digital Signatures, The "Kerberos" authentication sys-tem, Web Server Security, Web User Security, E-mail security, Secure Electronic Transac-tions, Firewalls, Wireless networks security.
