1. They will be able to know the ways in which the film product is promoted and distributed
2. They will be able to understand the differences between broad commercial cinema distribution and festival film distribution.
3. They will be able to know, in critical way, the most important film festivals in the world.
4. They will be able to explore and posses the key elements that compose a successful film festival
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the possibilities of promoting, distributing and selling a film project. It deals with the potential of the Greek and European markets. In the course, are also identified the differences between the marketing circuit and the promotion circuit through festivals around the world. Finally, the most important international film festivals are described and evaluated, identifying their special features.
