Prerequisites
General Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in economic theory and especially with respect to the terminology and the methods of analysis used in political economy literature.
Learning Outcomes
Following the successful completion of the respective lecture, the students shall be able (i) to understand and use efficiently modern political economy terminology and methodology, (ii) shall have afull knowledge of basic issues, for instance re-industrialization, reshoring, financialization and internationalization of economic activities and transactions. Finally, (iii) they shall be able to propose welldocumented policy interventions.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In the frame of the specific lecture we focus on contemporary issues in the literature of political economy - reindustrialization and reshoring, financialization and internationalization social and environmental sustainability. For this, the students will get familiar with the newest methodological framework and the respective analytical tools of political economy.

Description
Submission of essays from groups of up to three students plus written or oral exams at the end of the semester cobering all the material that has been discussed during the lectures. The final grade is the average of the two, yet with a precondition: the grade of the final exam will be at least 5 (out of 10).
