The expected learning outcomes for students are to comprehend the basic concepts of Strategic Management, to become familiar with the process of recognizing the strategic challenges faced by companies/organizations and develop the skills for designing, selecting and implementing the appropriate strategies that will ensure their viability and development through time.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The module includes the definition and analysis of the concept of Strategic Management and its fields of application, as well as the steps followed during its exercise. These steps include analyzing the external environment of a business/organization by gathering and processing appropriate information, analyzing the internal environment and resources of the business/organization, and the process of selecting short-term and long-term goals. In order to achieve these goals, issues of formulation, selection and implementation of strategic directions and actions are analyzed, as well as the process for their control and evaluation. In addition, issues of drafting and monitoring budgets for the selected strategies are analyzed, as well as issues of risk management and resilience building. Finally, the module includes the analysis of topics related with corporate social responsibility.
