Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing the course, the students are acquainted with the principles of Physical Electrochemistry (as a basic part of the Materials Science) and particularly with the physicochemical properties of conductive materials, the electrochemical sources of electrical energy and metal corrosion phenomena.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Electrochemical thermodynamics. Theories of electrolyte solutions. Electrolyte melts. Electrochemical interfaces. Thermodynamics of galvanic cells. Contemporary views about electrode potentials. Ion and electron transport in electrolyte systems. Industrial and technological applications of electrochemistry.
