Learning Outcomes
This course aims to familiarize the 1st semester students with computer use focusing on issues that will be raised during their studies. Students will learn how to assemble reports, assays, presentations on physics topics, treat experimental data and use computer in problem solving situations. By the end of this course students will be able to write and present a scientific report in both written and oral form. The term scientific report refers to a simple laboratory report concerning the collection and processing of experimental data, a bibliographical search on a specific scientific subject, a dissertation thesis and even the assembly of a research paper. The student who successfully completes this laboratory course will have come into contact with basic concepts of computer use in the preparation and presentation of scientific results will have understood the structure of a scientific report according to its scope will be familiar with special software regarding data processing, graphical representations, and computational processes will be able to resolve the effective way in which scientific results are presented in both written and oral form. will have the skills to design the structure of a scientific work in order to provide concise and sound scientific conclusions will have practiced the scientific information survey, its classification and the collection, processing and correlation of experimental data.
General Competences
