Learning Outcomes
After the successful completion of the course, students are expected to delve into the subject of the course and be able to deal independently with relevant legal issues, especially through writing academic papers and presenting them publicly, preparing scientific research and conducting critical commentary on the respective case - law.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines issues on property and personal law, focusing on the current national law of persons and in particular on the relevant provisions of the General Principles of Civil Law, the Law of Obligations, the Property, Family and Inheritance Law. Specific problems and issues on the law of natural and legal persons will be examined each time. The main subjects are the property relations of the spouses mainly in the context of the participation in the acquisitions, as well as the parents-children relationships during the marriage and the alternative family schemes, the divorce, the civil partnership, the succession, through the greek case-law and the necessary comparative reference to the case- law of foreign national courts or the EU Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.
