Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to understand the basic principles of classic perspectives on curriculum planning, the social and historical context of their birth and development as well as their influence on education. Moreover students will be able to perceive the influence of these perspectives on texts that refer to curriculum planning as well as to contemporary school curricula of Greek education.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this course, perspectives on curriculum planning are presented and dicussed. More precisely, we discuss principles concerning the aims, the content and the roles that teachers and students play in curriculum planning of the following perspectives: a) traditional, b) student - centered, c) social efficiency, d) social reconstruction e) liberatory education and f) critical reconstruction
