Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation of the knowlegde acquired by the students talking this course consists of a final exam at the end of the semester on the course material taught, and optional short (10-minute) written tests (quizzes) during the semester at a predetermined material. Each of the five scheduled quizzes calculated with 10% in the final mark. Thus, depending on the number of optional quizzes in which the student participates, the benefit to the final score ranges from 10% to 50%. The remaining 50% of the grade is calculated from the final exam. In case the student chooses not to participate in any of the 5 quizzes then the final grade is the grade achieved in the final exam. The criteria and evaluation method are clearly mentioned in the course syllabus and the student’s study guide.
Student Assessment methods
  • Written Exam with Multiple Choice Questions (Formative, Summative)
  • Written Exam with Short Answer Questions (Formative, Summative)
  • Quizzes
