Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will be expected to understand current issues on education through the examination of the relationship between education, economy and politics as well as of the ideological aspects of curricula. The course also presents issues regarding the concept of childhood, under the sociological perspective, where students are expected to understand and realize the parallel route of the social construction of childhood and education throughout modernity, as well as, that of childhood and disability.
